I had upgraded it as far as it would go (RAM wise). It was working OK; but I had been noticing that more and more software offerings, were not including W2K in their list of OS they were certified to work with. My dilemma; do I try and upgrade my existing computer to Windows XP or newer OS, or do I replace my machine?? I have had experiences in the past with trying to upgrade to a newer OS and all have had disastrous results!! I live on a very limited income, so a new machine was out of the question. Enter Amazon and their amazing deals!! I found this refurbished machine, with a "fresh version" of Windows XP Professional; Service Pack 3 (meaning, no annoying garbage advertisement software that you get when you order a new machine from whomever and can never seem to totally get rid of!). I couldn't be happier with it. Actually, the system is even better than advertised in that contrary to what is shown in the picture of the back, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports are also provided.
