Item #IA4L-GBM18679 (Toy) This toy has two parts, one is a monitor that displays a menu of learning categories, such as Words, Numbers, Music, etc. The other part is a small keyboard that communicates to the monitor via IR signal. There is an on/off switch on the monitor. This activates the receiver of the IR signal, not the monitor itself. There is also an on/off button on the keyboard which turns on the monitor (after the IR receiver is on). I bought this toy for my then 15 month-old son who loves gadgets and things that made sounds. He didn't find it very interesting and this toy has not been played with for the most part. However, I realize that this toy is made for an older child so my son's response is not the reason this toy is receiving a low rating. In evaluating the toy, I think this toy is not made very well. The quality of the graphics on the screen is very poor. For an older child, it would be a joke. The graphics are in black and white and very, very low resolution. The... Item #IA4L-GBM18679 (Toy) My child is 4 and keyboard is too small to enjoy. Probably better suited for younger child with lots of patience. My child has used a computer since the age of 2 and is use to larger keyboards. She gets frustrated trying to touch the small letters on keyboard for this wireless junior pc. If child is familiar with handheld computer games this may work for them, but only if they can read. Adult assistance is constantly needed to use this computer. This was a gift and just by looking at it I would not have purchased it. The price obviously was the only good selling point. Dont waste your money. |
